Ever wondered why the unexpected happens?
Every driven past a moving sculpture,maybe its just an illusion.
Not all explanations are genuine, neither are they all fake!
Maybe its only meant to be a cover up, the one that shields shame away, just maybe.
Ever had to deal a weakness? Especially the very ones that exposes your vices!
We stand in amazement each time the beast in a man in unleashed.
When the carrier lacks the will and power to tame the dangerous being within
He who is caught with a beast comes to the spot light for others to see.
Maybe its just a warning for us all, just maybe.
Maybe not all the leaves get to feel the intensity of the shinning sun.
Or what  makes some leaves greener than the other?
Could it be its nature, could it be the circumstances or the unexpected?
Maybe nature does partial, maybe the reason is kept open.
Maybe its normal, just maybe what we call a mistake is not really a mistake.
What if sun do talk, what if rain do speak, what if moon do see, what if stars do hear?
What if fear do really exists? What if its just a mirage?
What if the unknown never become known, what if the unseen is seen?
What if the secret is hidden, what if the exposed is kept?
What if the game changes rules, what if the rules changes the game?
Maybe nothing is really permanent is life, just maybe.
Maybe you gave up when you almost breaking through.
Maybe you stopped when it was about to yield.
Maybe you shouldn't have stopped trying!
Maybe others are waiting on you uh,maybe you are their pillars.
Maybe you unknowingly brings them to open incidentally?
What if you are hidden to be exposed, what if you are kept to be seen?
Maybe you fail just to win, maybe you could have gone farther, just maybe.

The Mind

The Mind. At inception,
 the mind is plainness and clean
 Its crystal clear from any stain or droughts
 Its doesn't know the right from wrong until it's taught.
 It can't differentiate between good and bad until it's shown
 It can't reject or accept until it's given the process.
 Its performance and speed can be reduced to the minutest form depending on whoever handles it
 Its versatility can be increased to the great form productivity depending on whoever trains it.

 Its like a still water that will never shake until it's disturbed
 Its like a rogue storm on the sea when violently stirred.
 The mind is powerful if it's well developed.
 The mind is useless if left untrained
 It's the engine room of our souls and bodies.
 If it's well empowered, It can control our will and emotions.
 If it's malnourished, it can be controlled by our will and emotions.

 Uncultivated mind will perpetually remain in stagnation
 Uncultured mind will never rise above its challenges.
 Don't always blame the Creator for your demeanors check your mind.
 Nurture your mind, nurture your life.
 If you train your mind, it will reflect in your life.
 If you discipline your mind, it will reflect in your actions.
 The mind is like a garden, if well cultivated it will produce lofty,beautiful and excellent results.
 The mind is like a garden, if not well cultivated it will remain unkempt and dangerous.

Innocent

When the copulation started I was innocent,
When the 23 pairs of chromosomes formed and became 46 chromosomes,
When the urges drove two grown adults beyond their human control,
When the gestures gone beyond measures and the measures formed a creature.
When the result became visible and the creature became undeniable,
I was Innocent!

I was still innocent when she started the indispensable nine month journey,
During her pain, during her burden,
Amidst her joy, amidst her sorrow,
Amidst her loneliness, amidst her comfort,
During the long night, during the short day.
From the dusk all through till dawn,
I was still innocent!

During her falls while trying to get up,
During her mess when trying to patch up,
While walking through the hedged ways of her career,
While crawling through the valleyed path of critics,
While groping round the walls of difficulties and trials,
While trying to dart out from those foundational miry clay,
I was innocent!

Finally, I punced and punctured my little container,
I was not a wicked foetus, I was only forced to do the necessary.
The warmth, the noise, the ambience, the people were strange.
How will a neonate cope in this strange vicinity-soliloquize, curious!
New game pattern, new rules, but still the same Umpire-God!.
Another cycle just started, a new me in a new vicinity,
Indisputable end has come to my innocence,
No more in the realm of fantasies, I'm now in the vicinity of realities.
I'm now responsible for every of my actions!

WIELDING YOUR IMAGINATION  
Imagination! The formation of mental image of something that is not perceived as real and is not present to the sense (1).

Call it creativity, you’re right. Term it creative thinking you’re still on point.
But let me ask you this, “How far do you think power of imagination can go''?
Can it be limited, can imagination be impeded, hindered, stopped?
The answer is yes and no.
Imagination can be stopped, impeded. It all depends on you.
Imagination can’t be stopped, impeded. Still depending on how far you choose or decide to go.
The power of imagination lies within you!
Your daily activities are first imagined within you.
Your daily outputs are the results of what you’ve imagined.
How you wield your Imagination will determine your results.
See yourself as a seamstress, if you right weave your imagination, you’ll get the best and a befitting result. If you do otherwise, you get otherwise.
See yourself as a miner, if you diligently mine your imaginative realm, the best treasures shall be discovered.
If you tenaciously run your imaginative power, you’ll be crowned with successful feat.
See yourself as a blacksmith, if you skillfully apply and engage your power of imagination, you’ll get the best tools for the shaping of the society positively.
See yourself as an athlete, if you harness all your energy and wield your imaginative power, you’ll undoubtedly become a winner.
How you wield your creative power is how far you’ll go.
If you wield your imaginative power like that of a miner, your results will be golden.
If you wield your imaginative power like that of a focused athlete, your output will be a glorious feat.
If you wield your imaginative power like that of an inventor, your products will be transformational.
Gold is scarce, it has to be mined.
Golden ideas are scarce; they have to be imagined creatively.
Diamond is strong, it has to be discovered.
Diamond-like Ideas are rare, they are discovered.
Castles are elegant and tall, they’re built on standard foundations. If you want your output to be elegant and tall, you must be ready to build it upon a strong and standard imaginative power.
Peacocks are beautiful, that’s how they’re created. If you want a beautiful output/result, wield your imaginative power beautifully.
If you want an extra ordinary output, wield your imaginative power by adding ‘extra’ to your ordinary.
It’s up to you! The power lies in your hands. Your results so far are traceable to the power of your imagination.

FOUNDATIONAL RECIPES FOR SUCCESS. PART II

In my previous article (You can read up here The Metro-Potters, or Rawfacts Notes)

 I emphasized on the following:

“Whatever you see standing has a foundation, and whatever can no longer stand has an altered Foundation.”

In this article, as I promised in the previous one, I will be analyzing the recipes or branches of Emotional intelligence.

I mentioned that Emotional Intelligence is the ability to monitor one’s own and other people’s emotions and to discriminate between different emotions among peers and your environment successfully.

I listed the following as the branches of Emotional Intelligence.

1-Intrapersonal, 2-Interpersonal, 3-Adaptability 4-Stress Management 5-General Mood.

1-Intrapersonal EQ: The word Intrapersonal means: ‘taking place or existing within the mind’

Merriam-Webster puts it this way; it says Intrapersonal means ‘occurring within the individual mind or self.’

You’ll agree with me that before any success is birthed, it must first be conceived in the mind. Any successful outcome or goal, and aspiration are first conceived in the mind, not on the field.

Note this, “A sharp mind would always produce result, anytime and any day.”

Very powerful, you’ll have a full grasp.

2- Interpersonal EQ:

Advanced English Dictionary and Thesaurus defines it as ‘something occurring among or involving several people. i.e. between two or more people or entities. As in interaction.

Notice this carefully, “Success is not about you alone! You need people!”

You need friends, people of like passions; you also need your enemies as well because they’ll help you remain resilient towards your goals.

Have you ever heard of this maxim? “No one survives alone on the island” The fish, water, bush, animals will all contribute to your successful habitation on the island. Stop acting as if you can get it done all alone, that’s not an emotionally wise thing to do. You need others as well.

In the lifting of other people’s hands your hand is equally lifted.

3- Adaptability EQ: The ability to change or be changed to fit a changed circumstances.

Your ability to change and quickly adapt to situations while holding on to your aspiration guarantees you success.

Let’s use a Duck and a Hen for example. Duck can survive on the land and also in the sea. Hen on the other hand can survive on the land but would die in the sea. Both are birds, but with different Adaptability skills.

When your circumstances change, will you still stick to your goals or aspiration?

If that friend fails you, will you still succeed? How fast can you adapt with or without external supports?

These are the recipes that make up Emotional Intelligence which is the Foundation of Success.

Apply them if you still desire success and you’ll eventually see the reality or manifestation of your goals and aspiration.

 Foundational Recipes For Success- Part I

In this article, I will be analyzing what I call ”The Success Foundational Recipes”.

You will agree with me that everything that’s standing definitely has a foundation.

Success! One of the most uttered words and most desired experiences within the sphere of humanity. We all have different definitions for this common but powerful experience.

I won’t bother creating another definition, I’d rather say success is achieving & fulfilling a desired goal or aspiration.

Notice the key words ‘achieving & fulfilling a desire goals or aspiration.’

For every structure, there are building blocks or organized fragments influencing its standing. In food making, it is called ingredient or recipe. Success also is made up of such building blocks, building blocks which I call ‘Success’ Foundational Recipes’.

Pay attention to this, “Whatever you see standing has a foundation, and whatever can no longer stand has an altered foundation.”

Any successful man had these recipes implemented at different level of the accumulative process of his Success. Truth has it that some successful men are less aware or conscious of these recipes, somehow through their subconscious; they had it applied to their endeavors. Though, the subconscious use of them is not as effective as the conscientious use of them. We can simply say a man who is not appropriately conscious of these recipes is under utilizing their potential and there is no way such man can be as successful as he ought to be.

Before you can ascend to every other branches of success, these recipes must be laid as building blocks of your success foundation. So what are these recipes?

They are comprised in what is called ‘Emotional Intelligence’.

Emotional Intelligence simply means the understanding of emotions and the use of it to relate better with other people, form healthier relationships, achieve greater success in any field of life and lead a more productive lifestyle.

Emotional Intelligence is the ability to monitor one’s own and other people’s emotions. The power to discriminate between different emotions among your peers and physical environment. The ability to perceive, understand, interpret and relate within and without successfully.

“Yes? That a simple thing!”  You may say, but let me short live your thought right now. Remember I said these recipes are comprised in Emotional Intelligence. That is, Emotional Intelligence is a tree with branches. Now, let’s see what these branches are. The recipes we talked of.

Now, these are the components that make up Emotional Intelligence.

Note them down and keep for the next article.

1-Intrapersonal  EQ

5-Genera Mood EQ

These are the components of Emotional Intelligence that form a structured foundation for success. You may plan, work and execute but if these recipes are not in place, it’s a mere effort that won’t yield a desired goal.

It’s like having the best and fastest Gas Cooker in your kitchen without gas to fuel it.

It’s like having the best and fastest car without Petrol to fuel it.

Having a well structured plan and ideas without Emotional Intelligence is like heading for defected goals and achievements.

Pay attention to this: “The practicability and applicability of the aforementioned recipes are what guarantee success in life.” These are one of the foundations you must build any aspiration on.  They are essential in decision making because they make success easy and attainable.

Observe this intently; 

“Success is easy if the foundational recipes are proportionally applied.”

Warren Buffet (the 3rd wealthiest billionaire in the world presently as this was written) says his outstanding achievement and success can be traced to his emotional intelligence. It’s comprised of 90% while the remaining 10% are other principles.

You see why this is necessary and vital? It’s the foundation that holds every other structures of success.

 FEEDING THE UNIVERSE (CAUSALITY) PART II 

In part 1 of this article, these were some of the major points focused on:

“ For everything we do, we get equal or opposite result”

 I highlighted that whatever you feed the universe with will be fed back to you in the appropriate proportion.

 

In this article, I will deal with what exactly you ought to feed the Universe.

Some of us either deliberately, ignorantly or accidentally feed the Universe, thereby, getting results which most of the time are not as pleasant as what we expect from life.

Sometimes, I personally still accidentally feed the Universe.  

In the time past, I’ve ignorantly fed the Universe and I got my result. I would just have to take responsibility for my past endeavors.

Meanwhile, sometimes, I feed the Universe deliberately and equally got my result.

I made that known to you in order to help you understand that there are different ways the Universe is being fed by you and that it doesn’t matter what manner you fed the Universe with. 

One thing is certain regardless of whatever; you will get a result from whatever you sow, whether deliberately, Naively, or even accidentally. Yes! The Law of Causality is that Mindless(Would prefer the word Programmed).

Trust me, the Universe is keeping the records of every acts. Not just for me alone, but for every actions we collectively release into the vast ocean of energy that surrounds our existence.

See, you need to be deliberate about what you do, say, hear, see and give. Because you will won’t be excused for feeding the universe accidentally or arbitrarily.

Sometimes, I feel like where’s the place of forgiveness from the Divine if the Universe keeps paying us for all our deeds (wrongs or right)?

Have you thought about that too? Have you ponder on that before now?

Well, think about this;

“Do unto others as you want them to do for you”. 

That was a statement made by the Institutor of Christianity who declared he has power to Forgive sins. Namely; Jesus Christ. 

The question is, Why did he made such statement when he possibly could have just told them to do as they pleased and ask for forgiveness? 

The answer lies in the very personality of the Creator himself and the mechanism through which He operates the Universe. He founded the Universe on the Law of Causality and limits every creation within the Judicial arms of this law. 

Jesus Christ who has a perfect Understanding of how the Universe operates and knows the secret to Universal Harmony educated his followers to be sensitive to this law. Why, because it is only natural to get in return whatever you dispensed as an endeavor.

The same thing you do is what will do you. So, the best and only way to attract good things into your life is by doing good and vice versa.

In that simple statement, Jesus established a universal understanding of how the Law of Causality works. This explains why he had to die sinless before humanity can attain Holiness. 

I thought God was powerful and could have just forgave the sins of the whole world without having to orchestrate the death of his son; but if he did it that way, it won’t work, because it would be the highest ranked violation of the Law of Cause and Effect. He was sown and he reaped Holiness abound enough for all men to partake.

I said all of that to make you realize that the law of Causality does not just apply within our little planet earth alone, that it is a Universal Justice system.

Do unto the Universe as you want her to do for you.

Be deliberate about every action so you can be certain of a better consequence.

The law of causality doesn’t have feelings, the Universe doesn’t have emotions that would allow her express mercy, it’s programmed to receive, process, interpret and disseminate equal consequences to the involved organisms.

If your result will make you proud, act what will provoke such result.

If your consequences will bring appraisal to you, release the action to the Universe so it can process that consequence to the consciousness and atmosphere of your existence.

But remember this, The Law of Karma/Causality doesn’t take bribe, it only pays back what was dished out.

Just a touch!
When the music goes off,

One that will sensitize my crush.

FEEDING THE UNIVERSE (CAUSALITY)

By the end of this discourse, you’ll know what type of meal you’ve been feeding the Universe. Whether spicy, delicious, sweet or sour meal.

Let me just recapitulate the definition of Causality as mentioned by other great Metro-Potters https://themetropotters.wordpress.com/ who discussed on this topic earlier. 

Causality is the relationship of cause and effect. Simply put., ‘Causality is the principle that ensures that nothing happens without being caused”.

The universe has no feelings, it doesn’t think whether someone else has done the same to you, it only serve you back that which you have served out. For everything we do, we get equal or opposite result.

There must be a sender (You) the message(Actions) the receiver (Universe) and the feedback (Result).

In communication, passing across information must go through some processes before it can be understood.
You’re the sender, the message  (your actions and intents) is what you send, the universe (the receiver) registers,  analyzes, processes and finally gives a feedback (result) to you.
Let me bring this to a closer view for you

Now, let zoom it in a bit.
If you send hatred/evil and your message  (what you intend to cause) that is exactly what the universe will process , analyze and return to you.

You may get instant feedback(result) or get it years later. The universe doesn’t forget, it depends on how fast it processes it. That’s why it’s called a seed.
Infact, you should be afraid when your seed of evil doesn’t sprout on time, the universe has not forgotten, it might come in double folds.  Am I sending or registering fear in your hearts? Not at all! Why would I do that?  I’m only sending or registering a universal secret in your hearts.

The law of karma/causality doesn’t take bribe, it only gives equal result of your actions.
I won’t deceive you, you’re where you’re today because of the seeds you sowed yesterday.
If you want a different level, sow a different seed.

What you do you do, what you get you get! No cheating!  

Do you want a better chance? Do unto others as you want the universe to do for you! That’s the greatest rule in the law of causality ! 

Let me ask this, what have you been feeding the universe? What kind of meal? Delicious, saucy, spicy, sweet or sour meal?

It’s never too late to adjust and start sowing a better seed if you want a better harvest./
This is not about me, not about them(those that hurt you) it’s about You!

Remember the universe has no feelings, it doesn’t know, think whether someone else has done the same to you, it only remembers yours and gives the same back in full measures.

The surface alone was not designed to be empty
It should swallow all forms of cruelty

"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Yes, there's got to be something new
And such is not for the few

If it can worth paying with His life
With the precious blood He paid the price

Every step is meant to be a pilgrimage
As you daily build your image

The experience should be a deeper calling
It's not meant to be a gradual crawling

From the foundations of the earth
To the innermost part of each breath

It's meant to be a deeper walk
Not just tickling talk

All I desire is to be the carrier of your presence
It should be a blessing and not a coincidence

Letter to Heaven

One day I traveled through a thought lane, I said to myself that if I can write letters to my friends,if I can send short message service to my parents.

If I can post what's on my mind on the social network, then I should be able to do the same to Daddy.

This is the letter I wrote to God...

Dear God,
If today I lose my peace, please remind me that you still have the power to calm my storm.

If today I shift my focus from you, please remind me that I should continue looking at You; the author and the finisher of my faith.

If today I fall into sin, please remind me that your love is everlasting for me.

If today I face temptations that seem bigger than my capacity, please remind me that I can't be tempted more than I can handle.

If today I lose my hope,please remind me that a living dog is better than a dead lion.

If today I'm in dire need, please remind me that the young lions do suffer but those that loves you will not suffer any good thing.

If today my expectations are fading off, please remind me that the expectations of the righteous can't be cut short.

Strange voices, strange voices i heard calling
Unpleasant stories in my ears ringing
Noises that 'he's gone, he's gone'
Who? He that was for greatness born

I thought it matters

The faster I run,
The more I long for it,
the more I get burnt.
Sometimes it seems so near
Honestly it was never near

I want them all
Its coming in so small
I want to fill it with my hall
Sadly they are all making me fall
What if I get the heavenly call?
Anytime,Anywhere,even in a mall.

I attached much importance
To a thing of insignificance
And taking to its cognizance
I need not to be in a trance
Before I start to prance.

Teach thou me,yea your will

Wait,This Is For You Alone...
There are moments I'd think I'm alone;
There are times I was really lonely but not alone.

Circumstances makes things around us different,
Sometimes we don't have enough will power to escape it all.

The best times in life are the times we tend for people passionately,
The worst times are the season we are left to fend for ourselves.

Things would go wrong,it could go worse but remember it won't last long.
It's only but a fleeting moments of trials that comes to test our faith.

I've learnt not to put all hope on humans but first in God;
I've learnt not to trust alone in my power but wholly rely on His dictates.

I'd hate to put blames on people,though, some contributed to my retributions;
Happily I realized they never all meant it for evil but to teach me lessons of life.

Soonest it dawned on me that when people wrong me,
It's not me,it's not them, it's life!

I wish I could daub this words in your heart forever,
I wish I could put it in your mouth without getting sour.

I wish I could hang it on the wall without getting stale
I wish I could tell you in one sentence that I miss you.

WISE UP

If there is anything I cherish and appreciate so well uncompromisingly, its genuine love. To some it’s unconditional love which means loving an individual regardless of his status, differences, background. To some, such love is undiluted which means it stands for truth and reflects truth, sincerity in such love is not a combination of letters that makes up the word-sincerity; but rather an expression of trueness and transparency. To some it’s everlasting love which means it stands the test of time, it’s a kind of love that stands the test of time, it’s a kind of love that stands tall when other things are falling. When business, jobs are falling, it maintains its stance. To some such love is unquenchable love which means when the water or breeze of temptation, disappointment, mistakes and challenges blows its fire, it is unquenchable. It stands out in darkness of distrust, it speaks when other love are at its lowest ebb, it burns when other love lack oil for burning, beyond all, it illuminates confidence and encouragement when there’s lethargy.

                To simply put, true love is true love! It may bear any names but it has the same characteristics and features. If not, it’s not true love but counterfeit. I’ve read some stories that about St Valentine’s Day but there’s a common thing amongst it all and that is his ability to be compassionate towards people especially the Jailer’s daughter despite his predicament. (Oh! Did I tell you who was Valentine? From what I researched, He was a man that was martyred because of his belief many years ago).

                Basically, here’s my belief about St Valentine’s Day Celebration- It’s a day you show extra love, care and go beyond the normal status quo of showing kindness, appreciation and genuine love. It’s a day to love the unloved, to care for the uncared, and to reach the unreached. To the married, care more and love more. To the singles, show more love to people around you not as a sacrifice but as a means of glorifying God and not the devil. Single is not a status, it’s just a word that depicts one’s ability to cope and have a sense of worth without dependability. Being engaged is neither bad, it’s also a word that depicts how strong nor unselfish you’re to share your emotions, sentiment with others.

                St Valentine left a legacy of true kindness and genuine expression of love through his actions and that was why he’s been celebrated. Whatever you’ll do today, let it represent God on earth and a real sense of human worth-your worth chiefly. Live a life to remember today for good, not the opposite. As many may say today is lover’s day, you may be right but true love is not celebrated once in a year alone. True love is true love, not until traded for sex. Let God look down from Heaven and profess ‘’ this is my child in whom I’m very pleased. Wise up so that you don’t close up your destiny……Rawfacts.
