WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BECOME IN FUTURE?

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BECOME IN FUTURE?
This Cliché “What do you want to become in future” puts us through a thinking lane whenever being asked by someone or we asks ourselves. Once a child is able to detect rights from wrongs, good from bad, then he/she is faced with the same question of “what do you want to become in future”. Literally, this question is good as it makes someone to think and prepare for the future. I’d been asked this same question in many ways just like everyone else, most cases, I smiles and respond confidently or grumpily “I want to be this”. Not until some years ago as I began to un-learn and re-learn through reading and listening to both right and wrong information, facts (Of course, you can’t deafen your ears totally to such, you just have the will power to choose the best information that suits you to act upon). So, I start the quest of asking myself once again “What do I want to become in future”. I noticed whenever people ask us this question, it’s either they want to encourage, motivate or unconsciously mislead or misguide us (Yes, everyone likes to make contributions to things like this even if they know little or nothing about it).

Walking through the thought lane…
One day I was at work, a maiden came to our office to make some enquiries .She engaged in a conversation with my boss and I was listening...(Hey! I wasn’t poke nosing or interfering, their conversation was just within my earshot). As my boss probed her further, He asked, ‘’what do you want to become in future? With enthusiasm, I paused and concentrate as I await her response. She smiled and happily said “I want to become an accountant”. Being inquisitive in nature, my boss replied her by saying, Why an accountant? Instantly, she’s lost in the deep blue sea of thoughts, wandering in the thought lane for some seconds and later came up with the common reasons and excuses we’ve all once gave when asked the same question. Honestly, I was afraid my boss is going to ask me as well. Quickly I programmed myself to give a suitable answer to the question (though, I wasn’t sure of it. Just don’t want to water my reputation or caught unaware). Luckily, He didn’t ask but that drove me back to my thought lane and I asked myself, but this time around with determination and curiosity “what do I want to become in future”

Changing the tide…
My curiousness is what makes me to change the tide of my thought on the ocean of life. Fortunately, I was reading a book and I found what I was battling with over the years was written in there (don’t worry I’ll tell you what I saw but in case you still want to read the book as well, there are many books on such but let me recommend this particular ones to you “Purpose driven life” by Rick Warren and “We are not here to play” By Olawale Perfect..I must be paid for this free advert from both Pastor Rick and Mr Perfect……..smiles). There are many careers that could fit into God’s will for your life, whatever career you choose, do it with the purpose of God’s glory and honour. After all, it’s our “character” toward God and people that will guarantee us eternity, not “career”.(It looks like I’m preaching, yes, if that is what you call it because I’m never ashamed of the gospel of Christ). In any career you go for, make sure your aim is to go for the primary aim of such career (What else than to serve and meet people’s need), by so doing, you equally meets your needs while serving others genuinely.

The difference between “Like” and “ How”…
Before choosing any career, first clarify and solve the puzzle of “what you like to do and “how to do what you like to do”. This is where some of us are getting it wrong and some might still get it wrong or right as well because we all first run into “how to do” instead of first developing the interest in any career and later end up being frustrated and left with no other option than to start wandering around the thought lane, almost every time. The word “like” means showing interest-to be précised. Be certain you choose the career you like and prefer the most. Your preferences for any career should be your drive, not the force around the career. Choose any career you’d liked to do when convenient or not, sweet or bitter (obviously, every career has its ups and downs but once you show strong interest in it, those challenges  could be evaluated as “experience” that makes up your career). On the contrary, “how” means the rudiments, laid down principles of how things are done or should be done. Once you’re able to show preferences for any career, the puzzles of “how to” is easy. Just go for any institutions or training centre that offers the training and knowledge of your desired career.

Icing your cake…
Show dexterity, determination, dedication, discipline and commitment to any chosen career-that’s called “icing your cake (career)”.
Ultimately, whatever career you choose, do it with all heart of commitment and for God’s glory and edification of the society. Remember, if you don’t it, another person will do it better than you. Back to my familiar territory- “What do you want to become in future? I guess you have the answers now…smile.
Come out of the shell, break the limits, run the visions, reach for the goals and fulfill your destiny…..#Rawfacts#

THE CRAZY ONES

The Crazy Ones; They make IMPACT!!!
THE CRAZY ONES

Time is never on their side
Anytime, anywhere they’re ever ready to preside
They’re ready to walk on the sky
Even on water, they’re tempted to fly
Sky they says is the limit
They believe is meant for the timid
They’re their own hero
And often starts from zero

They fear less
Hence, never care less
Always walk on their toes
Without minding their foes
They’re ready to walk miles
On their faces lie millions of smiles
They create, they quest,
They‘re never afraid of making request.

They explore, they invent
They endure, they prevent.
They craves for more
They’re ready to learn more.
If allowed, they’ll turn the world upside down
They’re hardly pushed down
Freely they dash out
From inside out

They imagine, they inspire
They motivate, they aspire
Majority says its craziness
‘Cos they detest laziness
They exploit their craze
It doesn’t matter who gaze
They hate things being deferred
Now is what they preferred

They’re their own thought’s driver
Like a snake in the river
They build their own pillar
Not worried by who wants to counter the pillar?
They never for once forget their thinking cap
And always breaking every gap
They exploit great opportunity
With their hearts of importunity

I call them the genius
Just because they make things happen

Some call them the seniors
Sure, they never watch things happen

They’re the crazy ones

Their thought is limitless
Their movement is boundless

They’re the crazy ones

Success is their paramount
Doesn’t settle for less amount

They’re the crazy ones

They don’t fear tomorrow
Courage dwells in their bone marrow

The crazy ones, invented the Aeroplane

They’re called the levers
But permit me to compliment them with- clevers

The crazy ones, invented the Microsoft

They’re called the gates
But could that be their fates?

The crazy ones, they’re countless
Never say it’s meaningless

The crazy ones, we have many examples
Even in God’s temples

The world needs you!
Yes! I mean you!
Dare the difference
Cross the lines
Walk the miles
Let’s remember you
After you’re gone
Be the crazy one

I want to share your story, I want to write about you, I want to celebrate you…Be part of the crazy ones of our time that can be reckoned with…Till I cross your paths again; make a difference-rawfacts!

My Birthday

MY DAY
On your birthday,
That is; today
I congratulate you
And also celebrate with you
‘Cos many were born same day
But their lives was a tale
Some people claims today;
A memorable day

Some argue and call it best day
Others says its unforgettable day
But as for me,
It’s God’s ordained day
For you and me.
To know the Lord has been good all the way
Many try to bring you down
Fortunately, under your feet they were laid down

The journey seems too swift
As if you took a lift
While making hays during sunshine
And absurdly neglecting every shrine
Obviously, greatness is your prime
Yes! It’s not a crime.
It’s just your time
Despite costing more than a dime

You’ve got your aim
All you need is fame
And your patches will never be the same
Neither be put to shame
You now know the rudiments of life’ game
Certainly, success is your name
Behold, when strengths fails
Dial Him, He never fails.

Lord, teach us how to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Happy Birthday to you Babatunde Oluwaseun Owolabi…Thank God I’m a year older today.

A Gift Unto Us.

 A Gift Unto Us.
Unto us a child is born
Just because our sins must be burn
From prophets, it was proclaimed
Before it was now acclaimed
For God so love the world
And He'll not deny His word

He was sent to heal
'Cos His name alone is a seal
For our sake;
He was humiliated
For this stake;
We're being celebrated

The only son of Most High
Went through sufferings and shame
For You and I
So that we can call on His name
He was beaten
And from death He'd risen

He's the only reason
Why we celebrate this season
Thus, He's the celebrant
And He's still vibrant
His name is a wonder
That strikes everywhere like a thunder.
Merry Christmas.
If God can make His son known and recognized from the manger and still received gifts from the three wise men, then you too can show forth such love to the less privileged, poor and neighbours around you.His conception, birth, death nd resurrection was a miracle.Celebrate Jesus with a thankful heart for coming to give us the "Grace" to approach the throne of Most High. This indeed is A GIFT UNTO US.This is my own way of saying...Merry Christmas To You All...........Cheers!!!

The Labour Room

The Labour Room

Why do we pray?
I'd guessed so that we don't become a prey.
Then why do we sing?
To escape sadness' sting.
Most times when we rush,
We crush.

As a common saying
If you don't think,
I'm also saying
You may stink.
We want things to be done
like the usual dawn

Hence,we're afraid of the labour room
That I'd like to call a favour room.
There's certainly no promotion
Without an examination.
We all want it
But not all ready to face it.

When things are rough
Just be tough
Even when you can't move your lips
Here are some tips.
Just play your role
To come out of the hole.

When you're sad,
The world will be glad.
But your sadness,
Will soon turn to gladness.
But,you must be ready to pass through the labour room.
Before you get to your favour room

"Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? "Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy."And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you."Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. " (John 16:19-24).
Don't do for God,what He'll do for Himself...Just put your trust in Him.
